The Freeman Arts Pavilion at Bayside is an open-air performing arts venue that hosts a wide range of national recording artists, regional artists, and local artists. GMB provided services to the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation including architectural code review for life safety and permitting process, land planning, civil engineering, and structural assistance. The upgraded venue utilized the parcel of land adjacent to the prior Stage area to provide additional seating capacity.

GMB is currently assisting the JMF Foundation with the next step of a multi-phase plan, which when complete, will accommodate 4,000 patrons, with 1,100 under roof, and features state-of-the-art sounds, lighting and video capabilities, an expanded concession and dining area, artists’ dressing room and production space.

Town of St. Michaels, MD

In 2020, GMB completed a DNR funded Harbor and Stormwater Infrastructure Study for the Town of St Michaels. This valuable study projected the flooding and sea level rise by 2050 and then identified at risk areas and associated mitigation strategies for our main harbor and adjacent infrastructure. This was the valuable foundation the Town Commissioners needed for their planning and developed community awareness and support. Building on this study, the Town of St Michaels created the Climate Change/ Sea Level Rise Commission to pursue grants to implement these mitigation plans. Thanks to GMB’s study, the Town has been successful in pursuing grant funding.
