Morgan H. Helfrich, AIA, LEED AP
Senior Vice President / Architecture Group Leader
Team Member since 2006
Morgan Helfrich is a 1999 B. Arch graduate of the Temple University (PA) School of Architecture. Having joined GMB in 2006, she brings over 25 years of diversified experience in the design and administration of complex architectural projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Among her varied projects are prototype community health centers serving historically under-served and migrant populations on the Delmarva peninsula, first response and law enforcement facilities for many of GMB’s trusted regional municipal partners, and primary, secondary, and higher education facilities throughout the area. She is especially proud of her experience in the design of the Salisbury University Entrepreneurial Center in downtown Salisbury, which teaches and supports the development of fledgling business start-ups. Additionally, Morgan has experience in a wide range of other project types such as single-family and multi-family residential, places of worship, and factory-industrial facility design.
Largely due to her dedication to advancing and sustaining quality architectural design and its importance to smart community growth, GMB was awarded “Best Architectural Firm in Sussex County, DE” by Metropolitan Magazine in 2018. Morgan was also published in the Jan./Feb. 2018 edition of Engineering, Inc. magazine, sharing her experience in renovating the historic Wicomico County courthouse clock tower. In keeping with GMB’s firmwide professional mission, Morgan reinforces daily the importance of being a trusted advisor to our clients and empowering our staff to grow and carry that legacy forward.
Morgan holds licenses as a registered architect in Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia and became a LEED Accredited Professional in 2008. She is also certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and assists several of our municipal clients with building permit review services.
