GMB Presents Wastewater Alternatives for VA’s Eastern Shore

George, Miles & Buhr, LLC (GMB) recently participated in the Eastern Shore of Virginia Wastewater Summit sponsored by Delegate Lynwood Lewis. The September 9th event was held to discuss critical wastewater issues facing the Eastern Shore. The crowd of 80 attendees included local municipal officials, engineers, private citizens, developers, and representatives from regulatory agencies.

Chris Derbyshire, P.E. and Charlie O’Donnell, P.E., resident wastewater experts with GMB, provided insight into the challenges being faced and presented various alternatives to tackle the problem. Topics discussed were the reuse of wastewater, treatment options, facility planning, collection systems, as well as cost and affordability analysis.
