GMB Wins 2017 ACEC DE Honor Award

We are proud to announce that our Lewes Beachside and Cityside Streets Revitalization project has been selected to receive a 2017 Engineering Excellence Honor Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies of Delaware (ACEC DE).
Working for the City of Lewes and the Lewes Board of Public Works, GMB designed the water distribution system, stormwater management system, street pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk and pedestrian connectivity, on a project that consisted of five (5) separate sites variously located within City limits.
The immense size of the different streets and site-specific paving methods required planning with disparate residential, commercial, and educational stakeholders. The street-particular stormwater management challenges required intensive coordination and communication from concept through construction.
Approximately $380,000 was saved using innovative pavement techniques versus traditional.
