GMB Receives ‘Business of the Year’ Award
Posted On: January 2, 2014
GMB is proud to be selected as 2013 ‘Business of the Year’ by the Fruitland Chamber of Commerce. Community Recognition Awards are presented each year at the annual banquet in November. GMB was selected based upon our work with the City and Public Works Department on municipal engineering projects including the Wastewater Treatment Plant ENR Upgrade and Elevated Water Storage Tank, which are currently in design.
GMB has a long history of working with the City of Fruitland. GMB designed Fruitland’s interceptor sewers in 1969 and the water distribution system in 1977. In 1993, GMB was selected to provide Engineering Services related to the Upgrade and Expansion of the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Since that time, we have performed the functions of the City’s Engineer. GMB has assisted with securing and administering Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) funding. We have worked with the City through all phases of a project: planning, design, permitting, bidding, construction administration and inspection. The following projects illustrate GMB’s unique knowledge of the City of Fruitland:
- Infiltration and Inflow Reduction Projects
- Wastewater Treatment Plant BNR Upgrade and Expansion
- Fruitland Water Supply Well
- Standard Details for Water and Sewer
- Northeast Interceptor Pump Stations
- Subdivision Plan Review, Contract Administration and Inspection
- Fruitland Sewer System Analysis
- Hayward Avenue Rehabilitation
- Fruitland Enhanced Nutrient Removal (ENR) Studies
