Fruitland WWTP Wins Accolades

Treatment Plant Operator (TPO) Magazine recently featured GMB’s valued clients, George Calloway and Joe Derbyshire from the City of Fruitland’s Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). They were dubbed “A Winning Duo” in the category of “Top Performer: Operator” in the March 2011 issue. Calloway and Derbyshire were recognized for their ability to operate the facility to achieve enhanced nutrient removal (ENR) nitrogen levels, though the plant was designed and built to only biological nutrient removal (BNR) standards.
GMB designed the BNR upgrade and expansion of the facility, which has received numerous awards since its commissioning in 2003. We applaud Calloway and Derbyshire for going above and beyond the design specifications to operate the Fruitland WWTP to the highest level of excellence.
